Updated: Oct 20, 2023

The 4th Cares Expo Taipei, organized by Anke Media, concluded successfully on the 9th of September, attracting a total of 32,620 visits over the three days. This figure included 12,546 visitors, representing a 50 percent increase compared to last year, and also welcomed 116 overseas visitors from 22 countries, including one delegation led by the Vietnam Medical Devices Association.

This year, the Expo expanded its focus from "long-term care" to "home care," featuring four major exhibition clusters – Long-term care, Caretech, Homecare, Health & Wellness, six theme pavilions, 15 forums with 127 sessions, and hosting more than 300 exhibitors with 500 booths. Anke Media also invited Vice President Lai Ching-Te to deliver a speech at the opening ceremony. Lai stated that Cares Expo Taipei has connected the local community in the past and will continue to bridge overseas countries, providing enhanced services and benefits for the elderly.

"Parson Lee, Founder and CEO of Anke Media, the organizer of Cares Expo Taipei, also mentioned that over the past four years, we have transformed Taiwan's long-term care industry and have attracted more people to participate in this sector. The annual expo not only showcases the strength of Taiwan's care industry but also pays tribute to all the hardworking caregivers, including various professionals and caregivers, and more."

International buyers were impressed by the diversity of the expo

This year, Cares Expo Taipei also launched business matchmaking services for exhibitors to network with international buyers. This year's business matchmaking invited 14 international buyers from Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Australia, India and South Korea.

“Never before in the world have we seen such lively, diverse and creative care models and integrated solutions at any other exhibition, but only at Cares Expo Taipei,” said Kris Chau, CEO of Active Community Group from Australia.

“It was well organized. The grouping of the exhibition venue was helpful. It saves us a lot of time to find our related products. The range of products exhibited were within our interest,” said Loh Nee Tong, Owell Bodycare PTE Ltd.

Cares Award 2023

Another highlight of this year's event was the "Cares Award 2023" presentation ceremony held on the 9th of September. Anke Media invited seven judges who, after heated discussions, selected six outstanding products out of the 61 submitted.

Lee also pointed out that the Cares Award is conferred by experts and users as the highest quality products in Taiwan, most suitable for long-term care providers, thus granting them a seal of approval. This initiative aims to boost future sales in the industry. Lee stated, "We also hope to establish connections with overseas countries, allowing first-class services and products from around the world to be introduced into Taiwan, fostering communication between Taiwan and other countries."

Evaluation criteria for this year's Cares Award include innovations in technologies, product improvements, use cases, and practicality, such as product usage in the environment and market potential, and finally design aesthetics and use interface friendliness.
